Himesh Reshammiya is one of the prominent singers and music directors in Bollywood. He has made a huge name for himself through his music, style, and uniqueness. The singer-music director is known for making songs like Jhalak Dikhlaja, Aashiq Banaya Aapne, Naam Hai Tera, Aap Ki Kashish, Tere Naam, and more. In his personal life, he is married to actress, Sonia Kapoor. Himesh is going through a difficult time in his life as his father, and music director, Vipin Reshammiya, has passed away.
On September 18, 2024, Himesh Reshammiya's father, and music director, Vipin Reshammiya, passed away. He was 87 years old and, as per our reports, took his last breath in Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Mumbai. The music director's mortal remains will soon be brought home, and his last rites will take place on September 19, 2024, at a crematorium in Juhu.
Reports further suggest that Vipin Reshammiya was not well for a long time and was dealing with age-related health issues. Moreover, he was facing difficulty in breathing and was immediately admitted to the hospital and later passed away. However, it's still unclear when he was admitted to the hospital. The Reshammiya family's close friend, Vanita Thapar, also confirmed the sad news to ETimes.
Vipin Reshammiya was a popular music composer of his time and worked with great artists like RD Burman, Laxmikant-Pyarelal, and Shankar Jaikishan, among others. Moreover, he even produced the movie, Insaaf Ki Jung in 1987.
His father's work often influenced Himesh Reshammiya. When he was 11, his elder brother passed away. Since then, he decided to make a career in music to fulfill his father's wish. In a few interviews, Vipin Reshammiya opened up on how he could see the talent and passion for music in Himesh from a young age. Later, Himesh produced and distributed a few films under his banner, HR Musik Limited, along with his father.
Vipin Reshammiya also played the mentor for Himesh. Witnessing Himesh's talent, he gave up on his dreams and focused on teaching Himesh. He also composed music for a film starring Salman Khan, where Himesh first met Salman. The actor was so impressed by Himesh's talent to a level that he offered him work as a music composer for his film, Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya, which became a breakthrough. Further, Himesh gained popularity after composing several popular songs for films by Salman Khan, which made way for his successful career.
